Christopher Emmanuel "Chris" Paul (born May 6, 1985) is an American high quality basketball player of the La Clippers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing at 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) and weighing 175 lb (79 kg), he has started exclusively in the position of point guard. Paul has won the NBA Rookie of the Year Trophy, an Olympic gold medal, and led the NBA in assists 3 times and steals six times. He's also been elected to seven NBA All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams, and 6 All-Defensive teams.
Paul was a McDonald's All-American in high school. He attended Wake Forest University for two time spent university basketball where he assisted the Demon Deacons achieve their 1st ever number one position. He had been selected fourth total in your 2005 NBA draft with the New Orleans Hornets and traded into the Clippers in 2011.
In December 8, 2011, the Hornets accepted a three-team trade sending Paul for the L . A . Lakers. The NBA, which owned the team during the time, nullified the offer, with commissioner David Stern claiming New Orleans are the best off holding Paul.The clubs involved in the transaction attempted to lobby the league to reverse its ruling and reconstruct the deal does not help.On December 12, the Hornets accepted a trade sending Paul into the Los Angeles Clippers, but the deal broke down once the NBA added additional needs to the original terms. 2 days later, the teams at last made the deal, sending Paul and 2 future 2nd round draft picks to the Clippers for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, and also Minnesota Timberwolves' unprotected first round pick within the 2012 draft. After the deal's completion, Paul declared which he might opt to the final season for his contract and remain in La for at least two more years.
